Overseas Subsidiaries THAI KOITO COMPANY LIMITED(Thailand) KOITO MANUFACTURING CO., LTD. established a joint venture, THAI KOITO, in a tie up with a local partner in Thailand in August 1986. THAI KOITO built a factory and started full scale production in February 1990. In July 1998 its capital was increased in order to stabilize its business foundation. Koito's holding ratio became 61.75%, making it one of its subsidiaries. THAI KOITO manufactures and sells its products not only for Thailand, where automotive production is rapidly on the increase, and for other countries in Southeast Asia, but also for such markets as Australia and Japan. Every effort is being made to increase sales to the Japanese carmakers like Toyota, Nissan and Isuzu operating in the area. It also focuses on product development capability and product quality improvement.
