Size and Weight Reduction By developing and utilizing materials of lower density and lessening the number of parts, we’ve reduced the size and weight of our products with a view to boosting vehicle fuel efficiency. Power-Saving & Long Life While ensuring the same level of brightness as that of discharge headlamps, LED headlamps offer about 30% better power-saving performance and longer life, and they improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions as well. Reduced Use of Hazardous Substances In order to reduce hazard to environment, we removed lead from electronic products, and removed mercury from discharge bulbs, and removed hexavalent chromium from relevant products. A unique optical control system was developed to efficiently utilize the white light emission. The white LED is one of the most powerful in the world, requiring a high-efficiency cooling system to deliver optimal headlamp performance: long life with minimal light reduction and chromaticity change over time. The superior beam pattern is made from light combined by a small triplet projector and a small reflector. An attractive lamp appearance is provided by the unique lamp structure. Highly Functional Headlamp System Koito introduces the innovative high performance headlamp system with many functions and is equipped with an automatic leveling function to fully improve the performance of the gas discharge headlamp system. Gas Discharge Headlamps (GDHL) A high - intensity gas discharge light source eliminates filament breakage due to vibrations and ensures double the product life, triple the brightness and just over half the power consumption of halogen bulbs. Dynamic auto leveling The auto leveling function keeps the upper and lower lighting angle of the headlamp at a constant level. It is employed because adoption of a discharge headlamp can enhance the brightness, whereas the glare to oncoming vehicles is eliminated.
